Study 11 / Sound / vibration / interference
When sound
becomes visible.
Trace the still lines inside a moving field. Compare vibration experiments, then compose your own wave study.

Observe. Read. Interpret.
Documented practices and research provide a starting point. The drawings and interactive rules here are original interpretations; each entry keeps its own context.
02 / Interactive instrument
The resonance table.
Adjust the modes. Follow the nodal lines. Listen to a tone you choose.
SVG retains source references and parameters. Animation is paused until you choose to play.
Model, interpretation & limits
The plate view is an idealised cosine-field construction, not a calibrated plate solver. The circular aperture clips that field; it does not solve circular boundary conditions. Water mode superposes ideal radial waves without fluid dynamics. Listening pitch is independent of the spatial mode and is not a predicted resonance frequency.
Exports preserve the current frame, seed, settings and source references. Distances use drawing units, not a surveyed site scale.
