Culture → geometry → interpretationA research atlas & a drawing instrument
01 / Read the context
Many traditions. Distinct meanings.
Yantra is a term rooted in South Asian traditions. Other cultures have their own diagrams, practices and names. This growing atlas begins with 16 source-linked studies across six regions; it does not claim to represent every culture.
All diagrams below are newly drawn geometric abstractions, not reproductions of the referenced objects.
No studies match. Try a different term or region.
On comparison
Shared circles, axes or triangles do not prove a shared origin, hidden technology or equivalent spiritual meaning. Follow the source for the object’s specific context. No sacred inscriptions or restricted practices are reconstructed here.
02 / Patterns in the landscape
A field becomes a drawing.
Circles, branches, spirals and repeated cells form a useful geometric vocabulary. These six original exercises separate pattern-making from claims about who made a particular formation.
Archive / documented observations
Spirals near Stonehenge & Windmill Hill
Temporary Temples’ photographic archive records formations at Stonehenge on 7 July 1996 and Windmill Hill on 29 July 1996. It distinguishes the popular “Triple Julia” name from a mathematically exact Julia fractal.
The Circlemakers archive documents the practice and debate from makers’ perspectives, including the 2001 season. Reports and interpretations are attributed accounts, not evidence of extraterrestrial authorship. Our drawings do not reproduce aerial photographs.

SVG preserves editable motif, trace, pad and label groups, plus source and parameter metadata.
This is a visual design instrument. It does not simulate electricity, validate PCB clearances, produce a fabrication netlist or run a quantum computation. Quantum mode uses gate symbols as a drawing language. Learn about executable quantum circuits ↗
